The honest fix is a mechanic. But a proper pre-purchase inspection costs $250–350 and means booking the car in, or paying someone to meet you at a stranger's driveway on a Saturday. Most buyers skip it and hope for the best — that's the lemon anxiety Shufti is built to remove.

Paste in the listing, and Shufti decodes the vehicle, checks government recalls for free, and builds an inspection checklist tailored to that exact make, model and year. Every item you check off is scored on the spot, so you already know what you're looking at before you've finished the walk-around.

Then Shufti becomes your negotiation coach: a plain-English breakdown of what's fine, what's worth negotiating on, and a suggested offer.

Who's Behind Shufti

Shufti is built in Melbourne by Frontpoint Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 23 669 870 366). Each checklist draws on the known faults for that make, model and year, crosschecked against more than 3 million recalls and owner complaints, alongside official Australian recall records and the government's PPSR register.
